Simon Chevalier is a French artist based
in the south of France, near the Alps.
Recognized by the Ministry of Culture
as one of the 100 best French designers
for 2022—2023 and 2024—2025.
In a world saturated with commercial
noise, Simon responds with artvertising,
his quiet resistance in urban landscape.
His black and white geometric sculptures
reclaim public space, offering stillness
amid chaos. Elevated above storefronts,
they challenge the dominance
of marketing, acting as minimalist
beacons. Stripped of distraction,
they invite reflection and resonate
with collective memory.
In an age of flashing LED signs
and digital screens, Simon subverts
the language of advertising to propose
a new path. His installations embrace
a low tech ethos : using fixed,
monochromatic LEDs—no animations,
no RGB, no sound—to create timeless,
energy-efficient lightscapes.
By eliminating unnecessary electronics,
his work prioritizes durability, simplicity,
and ecological responsibility,
proving that impact doesn’t require excess.
